The Comfiest Moccasins EVER

The Comfiest Moccasins EVER

My husband and I were able to visit Montreal this weekend and had a nice little tour of old Montreal. If you've never been there, it's a great place to visit. It's the closest thing to Europe on this continent. :) We had so much fun exploring all of the little shops & restaurants(which have AMAZING food & the pastries are out of this world). The amount of craftsmanship and quality that you'll find in these shops really does beat a lot of American shops, the reason being is that most of it is "Made in Canada". These moccasins were the softest, most quality made shearling lined types that I have found(I have a collection at this rate that my husband constantly makes fun of). I am part American Indian(from Northern Quebec) so I think that is why I am drawn to moccasins! These ones are made by the Huron Indians from northern Quebec. There is even a nice picture of an Indian right on the sole...which makes them even more interesting. Pillows for the feet. You can't go wrong. These range from 95$ to 240$. Give these guys some business because they totally deserve it! You can order here. Not sure if it might take a while to get them because according to the girl at Indianica in Old Montreal, they might have to make them per order depending on the time of year.

Pretty Hairstyle!

Pretty Hairstyle!

I love how soft and romantic this hairstyle looks. I believe that is a necklace(a really long one with beading) that she incorporated into her braid. You need really long hair to pull this off and curl your hair, especially the front sections, before braiding. The necklace would have to be added at the base of the ponytail that you'd make before braiding the hair. Gorgeous!

Camel Colored Nails

Camel Colored Nails

This is a shade of OPI nail color called San Tan-Tonio. I really like it because it's different than a typical nude color, and it goes with the trendy shade of camel that has been everywhere lately. Find it here. The OPI website is cool because you can "try on" any color they have!

My Summer Essentials

My Summer Essentials

Here are a few products that I will be using this summer that I've been trying out and have absolutely passed my strict tests (No breakouts, Sensitivity...etc..).

Eminence Organic Skin Care Coconut Milk Cleanser: This stuff is AWESOME. So awesome that when I use it to wash my face, I literally want to eat it because it smells so amazing. This is great for sensitive, dry skin...according to the label: "created to comfort dry, irritated or sun-kissed skin. Restores Moisture balance and gives a dewy fresh finish." Ingredients: Coconut Milk, Corn Germ Oil, Natural Cream Base, Marigold/Calendula Oil, Glycerine, Natural Moisturizing Factor, Glycine Derivative, Biocomplex (Vitamin A, Esther C, Vitamin E, Coenzyme Q10, Alpha Lipoic Acid), Coconut Essential Oil, Xantham Gum, Rosemary Extract, Salicylic Acid. *Our products contain all organic fruits, vegetables and herbs. They do not contain harmful chemicals or animal by products.
After using this for a few weeks, I can definitely say that it works great and leaves my skin really soft and hydrated. I wouldn't say that this is something you'd want to use at night to get all of your makeup off because it won't take off hard to remove eye makeup. I use it mainly in the morning. It's 36$ and the jar is huge so it will last for at least 5 or 6 months at most. You can find it here.

Josie Maran Protect Daily Sun Protection Argan Oil Infused SPF 40+: Great chemical free non pore blocking sunscreen for the face. Sephora.com says: "This natural formula physically blocks UVA rays that can cause up to 80% of premature aging. It also blocks the harmful UVB rays that we encounter on sunny days or at the beach. Unlike traditional sun blocks, this natural formula is infused with Josie's signature ingredient, Argan Oil, which repairs and reverses damage caused by the sun, fights sign of aging, and improves skintone for a radiant, renewed complexion. This sunblock is extra mild and fast absorbing and it can also double as a great makeup primer. Protect Daily Sun Protection is lightweight, paba free, and suitable for all skin types." 14$ for 0.5 oz. You can find it here.

Arcona Bronze Tinted Self-Tanner: This has become one of my new self-tanner favorites. Not only does it provide a great buildable color(it takes a few days to get a darker tan, but I like it that way). I've been using it every other day and have gotten a lot of compliments on my tan. My husband said my skin looked "vibrant" without me asking so that's usually a good sign, haha! My favorite thing about it is that it is doesn't cause any skin irritations at all and it actually provides nutrients to the skin and moisturizes (Vitamin E, Grapeseed Extract and Shea Butter). It's also chemical free as well. It uses a naturally derived DHA. The smell is more of a clean scent that can be really strong at first but wears off. It's not a chemically smell at least so that is nice! You can find it here for 32$. It should last a while too because it's a big jar and a little goes a long way.

Rita Hazan Foaming Hair Gloss "Tones Down Brassiness": Great for the summer when hair tends to get brassy in the sun. Blondes & Brunettes can both benefit from this product. It's 26$, and you can find it here.

Maybelline Illegal Lengths Fiber Extensions Mascara Review

Maybelline Illegal Lengths Fiber Extensions Mascara Review

Let me just say, I love this newer version of Maybelline Illegal Lengths Fiber Extensions mascara, and I am surprised that I do because I am very picky...It really does a great job of going on nicely, lengthening eyelashes and providing some volume as well(it contains small amounts of fiber to help elongate the eyelashes). It does not dry overly hard, and I didn't notice any breakage. It literally did not run, and I wore it the entire day(this pic is at the end of a long work day& workout without touching it up). It also washed away with warm water and didn't require extra rubbing with my eye makeup remover. I actually curled my eyelashes in this picture AFTER putting mascara on, which is supposedly a big no-no in the makeup world. (I do it all the time if the mascara is the right kind and doesn't dry too hard)...I felt like it helped to produce the effect I was looking for. This is a great option if you are looking to try something new. Two mascaras of maybelline that I do NOT like are Falsies Flared and One by One. They are just really difficult to apply and achieve my desired results with. In this picture I am wearing Blackest Black and you can find it here or your local drugstore.

A Silk Shirt With A Low Price

A Silk Shirt With A Low Price

As of late, it's hard to find things that have quality material for cheap. I really like the price tag on this silk blouse....at 39$(normally they are 50$+). There are so many cute colors to choose from as well...It's from Joe Fresh, a store that I discovered up in Montreal. Just thought I'd share in case you were looking for something like this...You can find it here.

Make Your Own Palette!

Make Your Own Palette!

I have been meaning to share this with you...I carry this palette everywhere with me, it's a little bit bigger than a credit card, so it fits anywhere! I have all my favorite concealers/stick foundation/my favorite lipstick/Damascus Rose Balm(for moisturizing under eye area). I bought this palette empty at Sephora in the section that has all the cute little goodies on the way up to the register for 5$. Has to be one of my all time favorite purchases. I love being able to put the products that I want into a palette. It came with a little bowl and spoon for scooping products out of their case, melting them down in the microwave and pouring them into the palette. (Mainly for the lipstick, the concealers and stick foundations were easy to just scoop and mash into place)....If this is something you think you could use, sephora is no longer selling it, but I found it through Japonesque...(Buy it Here)
